Campaign of the Week (W46, 2005)

This is a showcase of a somewhat different campaign that demonstrates the possibilities offered by wireless connectivity. The idea is simple. We’ve taken a Nokia Remote Camera and bolted it on top of a roof at a construction site. The camera automatically takes a picture of the site each 30 minutes, and sends it to our system using wireless technologies (GPRS and MMS). The image is stored on our server, which makes the latest image accessible through the net (e.g. for easy embedding into a web site). The only thing the camera needs is power (if this would have been done using a web cam, a connected computer would have been needed – something that always isn’t possible). Click the picture and find the link at the bottom of the page to see the latest photo.

This is the second campaign we’ve done using the same logic. The previous was concluded by producing a neat time-line video of the images. This is a project we’ve done together with Grey Pro, to whom we provide the back-end implementation.
